The purposes of The Putnam Kennel Club are to further the advancement of all breeds of purebred dogs; to conduct dog shows, obedience trials and sanctioned matches under the rules of the American Kennel Club; to bring together those persons interested in the breeding, exhibiting, care, training, welfare and knowledge of dogs; to further any activities protecting the interests of dogs, dog breeders and owners.

I, the undersigned in good standing with the American Kennel Club, hereby apply for membership in the Putnam Kennel Club, Inc., Carmel, NY. I agree to abide by the Constitution and By-Laws, the rules and decisions of the Putnam Kennel Club, and do hereby release the Club and all persons connected therewith, in any capacity whatsoever, for any and all liability, cost and expense resulting from injury to my person or property, or to the dogs brought by me to any events held or sponsored by this Club. It is understood that wholesale and retail trading in dogs as a business, (aside from those of the member’s own breeding), shall be deemed conduct prejudicial to the best interests of the Club, and are grounds for expulsion.
